Fans writing on The Real World blogs have you pegged as “the crazy Russian chick.” You’re Ukrainian, but are you crazy?
I’m absolutely out of my mind. I’m far from normal in everything I do—from going to the bathroom to just existing. I’m a big weirdo, and I love that. I’m that girl who is always in a good mood. I’ll run around naked if I have to, or if I want to. If you double-dare me, I have to do it. That’s something my roommates on the show worked out pretty quickly.

Give us an example.
My life is like a game of truth or dare. If people are bored, they’ll ask me, “Hey, Svet, do you want to eat boiled eggs until you puke?” and I’ll be like, “Why not?”

Do you bare your ample bosom on the show?
I would not want my boyfriend showing his jewels to some chick, so I wasn’t going to show my titties to my roommates. I think they might have seen them, though. I’m always naked—I’m always naked and want other people to be naked with me. I did walk around my bedroom nude on the show, but not in other areas of the house. There’s no good excuse for walking into a kitchen naked.

Are there any good punch-ups in the series?
There aren’t any physical fights, because I wasn’t allowed. There were certainly moments when I wanted to rip someone’s head off. If you really piss me off, I don’t take the intelligent route—I’d rather beat the shit out of you. I couldn’t do that, though, because I signed a contract with MTV before filming started. There were times when I was like, “If only I could choke you for 10 minutes, I’d feel so much better.” But, of course, I couldn’t do that.

Have you kicked a girl’s ass away from the MTV cameras?
Yes. It was 4 a.m. in Montreal on the week of New Year’s Eve. It was freezing cold, and I was waiting for a cab outside. One finally came and, as I was holding the door, three girls ran into the cab and stole it before my friends and I could get in. I started banging on the window—here’s where it becomes the other chick’s fault—and she wound down the window. Big mistake. My fists took over her face. I hit her with everything I had before the cab sped away. My knuckles were left swollen and bloody with teeth marks. I think she got it pretty good, which is what she deserved.

Finally, your 34DD breasts. Are they a help or a hindrance?
Oh, they’re great. I love to play with my boobs.

A top producer at ABC NEWS declared "Bush makes me sick" in an email obtained by the DRUDGE REPORT.

John Green, currently executive producer of the weekend edition of GOOD MORNING AMERICA, unloaded on the president in an ABC company email obtained by the DRUDGE REPORT.

"If he uses the 'mixed messages' line one more time, I'm going to puke," Green complained.

The blunt comments by Green, along with other emails obtained by the DRUDGE REPORT, further reveal the inner workings of the nation's news outlets.

A friend of Green's at ABC says Green is mortified by the email. "John feels so badly about this email. He is a straight shooter and great producer who is always fair. That said, he deeply regrets the sentiment expressed in the email and the embarrassment it causes ABC News."

ABC News: Iraq Archive Document Describes Bin Laden Meeting

March 22, 2006 — Following are the ABC News Investigative Unit's summaries of five documents from Saddam Hussein's government, which have been released by the U.S. government.

The documents discuss Osama bin Laden, weapons of mass destruction, al Qaeda and more.

The full documents can be found on the U.S. Army Foreign Military Studies Office Web site: http://fmso.leavenworth.army.mil/products-docex.htm.

Note: Document titles were added by ABC News.

"Osama Bin Laden Contact With Iraq"

A newly released pre-war Iraqi document indicates that an official representative of Saddam Hussein's government met with Osama bin Laden in Sudan on February 19, 1995 after approval by Saddam Hussein. Bin Laden asked that Iraq broadcast the lectures of Suleiman al Ouda, a radical Saudi preacher, and suggested "carrying out joint operations against foreign forces" in Saudi Arabia. According to the document, Saddam's presidency was informed of the details of the meeting on March 4, 1995 and Saddam agreed to dedicate a program for them on the radio. The document states that further "development of the relationship and cooperation between the two parties to be left according to what's open (in the future) based on dialogue and agreement on other ways of cooperation." The Sudanese were informed about the agreement to dedicate the program on the radio.

The report then states that "Saudi opposition figure" bin Laden had to leave Sudan in July 1996 after it was accused of harboring terrorists. It says information indicated he was in Afghanistan. "The relationship with him is still through the Sudanese. We're currently working on activating this relationship through a new channel in light of his current location," it states.

(Editor's Note: This document is handwritten and has no official seal. Although contacts between bin Laden and the Iraqis have been reported in the 9/11 Commission report and elsewhere, (e.g. the 9/11 report states "Bin Ladn himself met with a senior Iraqi intelligence officer in Khartoum in late 1994 or early 1995) this document indicates the contacts were approved personally by Saddam Hussein.

It also indicates the discussions were substantive, in particular that bin Laden was proposing an operational relationship, and that the Iraqis were, at a minimum, interested in exploring a potential relationship and prepared to show good faith by broadcasting the speeches of al Ouda, the radical cleric who was also a bin Laden mentor.

The document does not establish that the two parties did in fact enter into an operational relationship. Given that the document claims bin Laden was proposing to the Iraqis that they conduct "joint operations against foreign forces" in Saudi Arabia, it is interesting to note that eight months after the meeting — on November 13, 1995 — terrorists attacked Saudi National Guard Headquarters in Riyadh, killing 5 U.S. military advisors. The militants later confessed on Saudi TV to having been trained by Osama bin Laden.)

"Osama bin Laden and the Taliban"

An Iraqi intelligence service document saying that their Afghani informant, who's only identified by a number, told them that the Afghani Consul Ahmed Dahastani claimed the following in front of him:

That OBL and the Taliban are in contact with Iraq and that a group of Taliban and bin Laden group members visited Iraq.
That the U.S. has proof the Iraqi government and "bin Laden's group" agreed to cooperate to attack targets inside America.
That in case the Taliban and bin Laden's group turn out to be involved in "these destructive operations," the U.S. may strike Iraq and Afghanistan.
That the Afghani consul heard about the issue of Iraq's relationship with "bin Laden's group" while he was in Iran.

At the end, the writer recommends informing "the committee of intentions" about the above-mentioned items. The signature on the document is unclear.

(Editor's Note: The controversial claim that Osama bin Laden was cooperating with Saddam Hussein is an ongoing matter of intense debate. While the assertions contained in this document clearly support the claim, the sourcing is questionable — i.e. an unnamed Afghan "informant" reporting on a conversation with another Afghan "consul." The date of the document — four days after 9/11 — is worth noting but without further corroboration, this document is of limited evidentiary value.) ..........

University of Iowa's men's basketball Coach Steve Alford is looking
forward to continued success with the Hawkeye program and has
scheduled no interviews for vacant coaching positions.

"I'm the head coach at Iowa. My family and I love the Iowa program and
the community," said Alford. "We had a record-setting season with a
second Big Ten Tournament championship and I look forward to continued
success with this program.

"As in the past, search committees and interested officials from other
programs with openings for a head basketball coach have initiated
contact," said Alford. "I'm flattered with the interest and the
recognition of the outstanding season we had this year," added Alford.
"With that success, comes attention and speculation that I cannot
control. I have not scheduled any interviews with any other
institutions."

Alford guided Iowa to a 25-9 overall record, including the
championship of the Big Ten Conference Tournament. The Hawkeyes were
11-5 in the Big Ten regular season and tied for second place, one game
behind Ohio State. The 25 wins mark the second highest victory total
in school history. The Hawkeyes won a school-record 17 home games,
posting the first ever undefeated season in Carver-Hawkeye Arena.

Alford has directed Iowa to six straight winning seasons and
post-season appearances, including three trips to the NCAA Tournament.
Iowa has averaged over 20 wins per year over the past six seasons and
also claimed the 2001 Big Ten Tournament title.

Police Chief Joseph DeLopez said his plan would outlaw radio tuning, talking to passengers and tending to children or pets while driving in addition to the more typical bans on using electronic devices, reading the newspaper or applying makeup.

Today IOWA beat the living piss out of #20 Michigan 94-66. Iowa thrashes No. 20 Michigan, remains atop Big Ten With that win and Illinois loss 2nite Iowa is now all alone in 1st place of the Big Ten. With a 7-2 conference record Iowa now heads on the road for 2 games (Northwestern & Indiana) before coming back home for a game on Feb 14th vs Michigan State. I will once again be in attendance at Carver Hawkeye Arena for the MSU game and the last game of the year, home vs Wisconsin. With 7 games to go... can Iowa hold on to win the Big Ten? If they do I'll be there in person to see it.... but whatever happens, this has been a great season. Go Hawks!!

Once again I was in attendance last night at Carver Hawkeye Arena as Iowa took down #11 Indiana. Another great game, the student section was rockin' and loud as ever. Indiana's best player is the Big Ten's leading scorer, Marco Killingsworth. Every time he came into the game or was at the free throw line, the student section would start a LOUD chant of "MARCO" - "POLO". He bricked every free throw he took....

I am not knew to the Kobe scene... I bought this shirt back on December of 2003 to show support to who will be known as the greatest basketball player that ever lived. Don't get me wrong, Michael Jordan is the best player to ever play basketball.. but Kobe is only 27 years old. 27. He still has 8 - 10 years of playing left. A few more seasons like this where he might average 40pts a game... and yes, he will go down as the best player ever. He already has 3 NBA titles, and there will be more.

Is 81 enough?

Eighty-One, people.

I'd say so. I'd say all those pre-Christmas wails about Kobe Bryant ripping us off by hanging 62 points on the Dallas Mavericks in three quarters and then sitting out the fourth can suddenly be recalled with a chuckle.

Turns out Kobe's Dec. 20 detonation was not a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for No. 8 to make a run at 80-something points. No one was cheated after all.

Maybe Kobe and his pal Phil Jackson, when they reached that joint decision to stop abusing the Mavs because the Lakers were up by 34, knew they wouldn't have to wait long for another chance at it during an up-for-grabs game.

Why not? You can believe anything on a night like this.

Kobe's chance dutifully materialized almost exactly a month later, on a Sunday that was supposed to belong to gridiron football. You know. The table-setter for Super Bowl Extra Large and all that.

Sorry, NFL.

Sunday will be remembered as the best NBA day in a long, long time. There was a nationally televised buzzer beater in Minnesota from Philadelphia's Andre Iguodala to cap a 19-point comeback in the afternoon ... and then Seattle's Ray Allen beat Phoenix with a way-out buzzer bomb at the horn of overtime No. 2 in a 152-149 throwback thriller ... and then simply the greatest individual performance ever recorded: Bryant's 81 points in a 122-104 come-from-behind victory over the Toronto Raptors.

You'll recall that, sadly, there's no footage of Wilt Chamberlain rumbling for 100 points in Hershey, Pa., on March 2, 1962. Which makes it tough to commission an in-depth analysis comparing Wilt's feat (scoring 100 of his team's 169 points that day) to Kobe's (81 of 122). But I'll gladly settle for the forthcoming flood of Kobe replays, in which you'll see him haul the Lakers back from a 71-53 deficit against a Raps team that kept the game sufficiently close in the final quarter to keep Kobe out there shooting.

Against a Toronto team that somehow held him to 11 points when the teams met in early December -- historic footage now -- Bryant wound up with 55 points after halftime. Fifty-five. For a little perspective, please note that matches the best scoring game in Kareem Abdul-Jabbar's career. That's the same Abdul-Jabbar who, before becoming a Lakers assistant coach, was merely the NBA's all-time scoring leader.

Don't forget, furthermore, that no less an authority than Michael Jordan has been known to say that a perimeter player has it way tougher when it comes to making a legitimate run at Wilt's record. Factor in the ball-handling responsibilities and the energy required to play defense all over the floor and you can understand MJ's theory. This might also help back it up: Jordan himself topped out at 69 points as his one-night best and needed overtime to get there.

No offense to the late, great Chamberlain, but he was in a better position to dominate a box score with the size and strength advantage he possessed, especially in Wilt's era. Some of you will inevitably counter with the claim that Kobe had the benefit of a 3-point line, but don't exaggerate. Having the long-ball option added only seven points to Bryant's total.

With a mere 74, he'd still have registered the richest single-game scoring output in NBA history by anyone not named Wilt.

With 81, so soon after so many opined that he had blown his chance to ever scrape that stratosphere, Bryant has reminded us what we all should know by now about him.

Whatever you think about the game's foremost love-him-or-loathe-him face, and the ongoing debate about how much he shoots, you always have to be ready for What's Next with No. 8.

Chances are it'll be something to dissect for days and days.

Chances are, on the thinnest and neediest team in Jackson's ring-filled history, it won't be the last time Kobe has the forum to fling 40-something shots at history.

Colorado Man Finds Condom in Filbert Nut

RIFLE, Colo. (AP) - A bit of online searching helped crack the case of the condom in the filbert nut. Police chief Daryl Meisner said it appeared no crime was committed when somebody put the condom-containing nut in a bin at a Wal-Mart Supercenter.

"This looks exactly like what I found on the Internet," Meisner said. "The condom was new and unused, so it probably wasn't anything malicious. I can't find where any law has been broken."

Dian Geist of Silt bought a bag of unshelled nuts from an open bin at the store. She said she and her husband, Brian, had a good laugh when the bright yellow condom popped out of the nut.

"I really don't want it, but my husband wants it back for some reason," she said.

The couple took the nut - and its contents - back to Wal-Mart, where an assistant manager photographed it before the Geists took it to the police.

"Whether someone thought it was a joke, we take it very seriously," said Wal-Mart spokeswoman Karen Burk. "This is a food-tampering issue."

Meisner said someone had drilled a hole in the nut, emptied the shell and then plugged the hole with wood putty after the condom was inserted.

Pizza man says he was attacked by young girls

CINCINNATI (AP) -- A pizza delivery man in Cincinnati has told police he was the victim of a robbery attempt yesterday -- by a pack of girls.

Police say he described his assailants as five very young girls.

Investigators believe they're looking for suspects in the eleven-to-14 age group.

A police captain says it's a little disturbing.

The 21-year-old delivery man says the girls tried to take the pizza from him and ended up knocking him to the ground.

But he wasn't hurt, and nothing was taken.

He says when he arrived at the spot where he was supposed to deliver the pie, it seemed the girls were waiting for him.

Police are looking into whether they were the ones who phoned in the order.

Yesterday my 2 brothers and I sat in Carver Hawkeye Arena and watched the Iowa Hawkeyes beat #6 15-0 Illinois. It was the first time Illinois has been held under 50pts since 1999. It was a great game and a great win for the Hawkeyes.. as many fans have given up on the Iowa basketball team in recent years. But not I. We also got to watch my cousin Drew, who is a student at Iowa, run down from his seat 20 something rows up on to the court after the win. It was both the funniest and greatest site I've seen in some time. I'm glad my brother Brad spotted him when he did...

So, in the Outback Bowl this morning, Iowa is down 7 with about 1:40 to go. They RECOVER an onside kick (and would have gone on to win the game, no doubt) but these complete hacks from Conference USA that call themselves officails, say that they were offsides. As you can see from the pic... it was not even close.

HAWKEYES HOSED

Three terrible calls by the officials — two at the end of the first half and one at the end of the game — thwarted a gutsy Hawkeye comeback in the Outback Bowl as Iowa falls to Florida, 31-24.

The Hawkeyes were down 31-7 at the end of the first half, but mounted a spirited comeback in the fourth quarter by scoring two touchdowns on Drew Tate passes to Ed Hinkel.

Iowa was driving late in the game when they were forced into a fourth-and-10 with less than 2 minutes to go in the game with no timeouts and down by 10. Kyle Schlicher came on to hit a 45-yard field goal, and the Hawkeyes lined up for an onside kick.

Schlicher lined up on the right hash and got the requisite high bounce on the kick. The ball bounced off of one Hawkeye's hands and into the hands of Scott Chandler.

The officials called Hawkeye linebacker Chad Greenway for being offsides on the kickoff. The replay clearly showed that Greenway was behind the line of scrimmage on the kick.

Iowa lined up for another onside kick, but Florida claimed this one, and the Gators ran out the clock for the 31-24 victory.

My Christmas haul has begun...

Friday: My weekend began early this week as I had Friday off. I didn't do shit on Friday.. slept in til 10 - had a headache most of the day from drinking too much Thursday night. Sometime in the afternoon I went out and shoveled, cuz its snows everyday here it seems. Tried to start my snowblower. No Dice. Also for some reason the heater in my car does not work, the fan does not turn on. I checked the fuses and they seem fine, so I'm gonna have to get it looked at cuz when the highs are always below freezing... ya kinda need heat in your car!

Saturday: Christmas has officially begun. Today we had the family Christmas on my Dad's side.. although my Dad is never there anymore because he lives in California. My Grandma & Grandpa quit giving us old kids actual presents quite a few years ago.. so now we all get cash. Cash is always good. My Grandpa gives us all the state quarters for that year too. I think I'm the only person in the family besides him that actually collects these - so its kinda cool for me. = ) In the morning before heading to Xmas, watched 2 movies: "The Skeleton Key" & "The Longest Yard".... both OK.. not really good.. but OK.

Sunday: Christmas with my Mom's family. For this Xmas we do the ol' gift exchange aka white elephant. Its actually pretty fun. Every year a couple people's gifts are a pack of beer, like the Leinie's Tackle Box... those always get stolen quite a bit. I ended up with a box of Callaway Big Bertha golf balls. Not a bad haul for me. I actually stole them from my brother's girlfriend, which she was actually pretty happy about I think since she doesn't golf.

Two subject post today.

1: Today was the 3rd morning in a row that I've driven to work and the temp has been below zero. Monday = -10, Tuesday = -6, Today = -9. IT'S FUCKING COLD! ...really makes my 5min drive (and that's if I hit all the lights) to work seem brutal! = ))

2: NCAA Bowl Pool time baby! For something like the 20th year in a row my family (now basically my brother) is having our annual NCAA Bowl Pool (see link on side). Anyone is welcome to join. You can do it all electronically - fill out entry and email in - and pay entry fee through PayPal. Or, if you wish, you can mail everything in. There is always over 100 people in the pool with the winner taking around $70-$80 (not a bad return on $2). This might be the biggest year ever...

Thanksgiving in Palm Springs

While all my friends are at home in Iowa freezing their asses off... I've been spending Thanksgiving in Palm Springs. 75 and sunny everyday. I have a few pics over looking the Palm Springs area from higher up one of the small moutains we hiked up on Friday. Also have a pic I took from my cell phone off a tee box Saturday while I was golfing.

Dorf took some pics of the North Endzone from his seats, he even was nice enough to circle my ass so you can see me in game action.

Iowa dominated Minnesota on Saturday 52 - 28, rolling up over 600yds of offense. Nice way to end the regular season.

Everyone's been to a Hooters right? A little known fact around the world is that Hooters was founded in 1983 by a group of classmates from Waverly, Iowa (my hometown and current residence). The 1st Hooters was opened in Clearwater, Florida.. and hot girls in tiny orange shorts have been serving great wings ever since. The best bar in the beautiful town of Waverly, The Pour House, is owned by the ex-wife of one of the original founders of Hooters. For their official Grand Opening last spring the 2004 Hooters Calendar Cover Girl paid a visit. (pics below) She was actually a very nice girl... not too bad to look at either = )

.. anyways.. not really sure what my point was to this post. Long story short: Hooters = Good. The Pour House = Fucking Rules. Hot pink fishnet shirt = Awesome.

Update: To clear up some confusion. The girl in the green & pink are the same girl. She changed during the night. Oh.. and her name is Ursula Maciejewski of Chicago, Illinois.

Bowling... Here's a picture of our table during the 1st game. This is what our table looks like all night, about every 15mins another round is dropped off and the casualties are removed. Notice the system. Each person has a marking - so as not to end up drinking a teammates beverage. My marking is the tear of the top right corner of the label. You can see my 2 Miller Lites sitting in front. Its a complicated process, but the talented wait staff at the alley has it all figured out. Occasionally an egg cheese sandwich or a sampler basket is purchased, then the challenge becomes trying to find a place on the table to set the food. 3 hours later, we leave victorious... and completely drunk.

Last Friday my brother Brad and I headed off to Chicago for the Iowa @ Northwestern game on Saturday. The drive there was pretty uneventful.. cept for the tolls you have to pay. $1.90 a toll!! You shittin me? I paid over $6 in just tolls on the way there, plus gas in Illinois is 40cents higher. Stupid state. Also found out that the driver side window in the car we took does not roll back up after its down. It takes about 10mins to get the damn thing back up... just barely inches back up everytime you try the button. Since it was between 7pm - 10pm when we paid the tolls it was a bit chilly flying down the Interstate with the window down!

We pull into the beautiful Days Inn in Niles (suburb just north of Chicago - basically straight West of Ohare Airport) around 10:30pm. Check in.. and drive back to our room. Yeah.. I said drive. We park next to our room and hall our shit upstairs. We quickly find out that the only light that seems to work in our entire room is this outdoor globe type fixture by the door. (see picture) Brad proceeds to go hang up his clothes for 2morrow for some gay reason - that's when he notices the 2 breakers on the wall (see picture). Ever had breakers in your hotel room before? The last picture is Brad with the world's most expensive tv remote. It had it all covered.. Power On, Up, Down, Left, Right. Before heading off to sleep I had to call my other brother Brian, because I had forgotten to place my 5 team 7pt teaser that morning... and as you could have guessed, this room did not have Internet access.

Wake up early Saturday morning and get ready to make our way to the game. 1st we stop at near by Target to buy a couple rain ponchos since it was supposed to rain that day. Before we get back into the car at Target I take Brad's picture next to the Leaning Tower of Pisa!!

We drive to Evanston and park on a side street. Mow down a sub. Start the walk to Ryan Field. There are Iowa fans EVERYWHERE! I get confused because I thought this was an away game.. but the only fans you see anywhere are Iowa fans. We decided to take a self guided tour of the Northwestern athletic facilities. We worked out on the blocking dummies on the football practice field and also checked out Northwestern's gay little basketball arena. Finally we get to our seats and the game begins. 1st half kicks ass!! Iowa is mowing! Half time score Iowa 24 - Northwestern 7.

During halftime we are standing there talking, look down, who do we see in full Cubs uniform holding up a Bears helment? Ronnie Fucking Woo Woo!! We go down to see the legend, I'm like "Hey what's up Ronnie!?". He smiles. (I think the only thing he can do is smile and say Woo! Woo!).. but it kicked major ass to see him.

2nd half starts, everything is fine until there is 4:30 left in the game. Iowa leads by 13pts and punts the ball away. 2mins later NW scores a touchdown. 2mins left. NW recovers onside kick. 1:50 left. NW drives and scores touchdown. 40 secs left. NW now leads by 1. Iowa fucks up and we lose. Worst game ever. After standing in complete silence for over 10mins as we watch people leave the stadium, Brad and I finally start to make our way out. Its about 2 blocks away before one of us even speaks. I believe the silence was broken by me when I said "What the fuck!?"

Did I mention that it started raining in the 3rd quarter and didn't stop. Ever. It was still raining when I got home at 9:30pm that night. Remember that window that doesn't rollup?.....

My first job was working in an orange juice factory, but I got canned, I couldn't concentrate.

Then I worked in the woods as a lumberjack, but I just couldn't hack it, so they gave me the axe.

After that I tried to be a tailor, but I just wasn't suited for it. Mainly because it was a so-so job.

Next I tried working in a muffler factory but that was exhausting.

I wanted to be a barber, but I just couldn't cut it.

Then I tried to be a chef--figured it would add a little spice to my life but I just didn't have the thyme.

Finally, I attempted to be a deli worker, but any way I sliced it, I couldn't cut the mustard.

My best job was being a musician, but eventually I found I wasn't noteworthy.

I studied a long time to become a doctor, but I didn't have any patients.

Next was a job in a shoe factory; I tried but I just didn't fit in.

I became a professional fisherman, but discovered that I couldn't live on my net income.

Thought about becoming a witch, so I tried that for a spell.

I managed to get a good job working for a pool maintenance company, but the work was just too draining.

I got a job at a zoo feeding giraffes but I was fired because I wasn't up to it.

So then I got a job in a gymnasium (work-out-center), but they said I wasn't fit for the job.

Next, I found being an electrician interesting, but the work was shocking.

After many years of trying to find steady work I finally got a job as a historian until I realized there was no future in it.

My last job was working at Starbucks, but I had to quit because it was always the same old grind.

No 'Chicken Little' - Kids see suicide

A Times Square movie theater laid an egg at a showing of "Chicken Little" last night.
Adults and kids expecting to watch Disney's G-rated animated flick at the AMC Empire 25 theater on 42nd St. were instead presented with a foreign film that opened with a young man committing suicide.

"It's pandemonium," Joshua Gallo, 30, told the Daily News as he rushed out of the theater with his 5-year-old son and 1-year-old daughter. "The kids are crying. The mothers are screaming for the managers to stop the film."

Terrified children didn't know what to do as they watched a young boy hang himself from a tree at the 8:45 p.m. screening.

After five minutes, "Andrea," a Spanish drama opening today, was turned off and "Chicken Little" was played.

Patrons got a coupon for a free movie.

The Truth about Taxes

Look at the graph above and think of it this way: less than 4 dollars out of every $100 paid in income taxes in the United States is paid by someone in the bottom 50% of wage earners. Are the top half all these rich millionaires we always hear about? Noooo, more like "thousandaires." The top 50% were those individuals or couples filing jointly who earned $29,019 and up in 2003. (The top 1% earned $295,495-plus.)

Here are the wage earners in each category and the percentages they pay:
The top 1% pay over a third, 34.27% of all income taxes. The top 5% pay 54.36% of all income taxes. The top 10% pay 65.84%. The top 25% pay 83.88%. The top 50% pay 96.54%. The bottom 50%? They pay a paltry 3.46% of all income taxes.

The next time you hear a Democrat in an election talking about how we should not give tax cuts to the rich but should give tax cuts to the poor and middle class - just remember what you have read here. You can not give a tax cut to a person who is already not paying any taxes. Any person making under $29,000 a year is already NOT PAYING ANY TAXES! You can not cut their taxes anymore. The only people who are even able to receive a tax cut are the ones in the top 50% of all wage earners. When tax cuts are proposed, most democrats say they are only tax cuts for the rich. Just remember that these so called rich people.. are the only ones even paying taxes to begin with. .. and I would not call people making over $29,000 a year rich.

A member of the singer’s entourage is believed to have copied one of the couple’s personal video tapes – allegedly recorded while Britney was still expecting baby son Sean Preston - and is threatening to release it.

No Excuses! Tarver vs. Jones 3

Coverage starts Saturday 8pm on HBO PPV. After we get back from Iowa City, hopefully watching Iowa beat Illinois on homecoming, I will be staying in Cedar Falls to watch Jones-Tarver III. If you would like to watch this classic battle let me know, I could probably reserve you a spot for about $5.

Took the day off. Golfed with Wounds, Dorf, & Andersflay. Teams were Wez & Wounds vs Dorf & Andersflay. Although I & Wounds won by like 6 strokes, somehow Dorf & Andersflay won 4 more skins. So we have to pay them a few bucks.

A few things I remember from the morning...

1. Listening to Dorf & Andersflay try to figure out how to split up and pay for a $16 six pack of beer. Took Wounds and me about 1 second to figure it out. He gave me a Ten, I gave him $2 back. I paid with a Twenty... seemed simple enough to me. 5mins later Dorf & Andersflay were still trying to figure it out.... they have some problems.

2. Wounds and I had a not so good tee shot on one hole. Trying to figure out what distance we had left, we looked around at a few sprinkler covers. We looked at 2 and both had nothing on them. Wounds says, "We are so far away they don't even put anything on them!"

3. Andersflay was telling Dorf about his driver. He says, "It retails for around $400. I got it off eBay for like $150. It was slightly used. Wez Says... "Yeah, just like his woman."

Hazardous Work Conditions - Part II

Back in June I made a little post about the bad case of mold on the wall that runs right by my cube at work... Hazardous Work Conditions Well here's an update. When I came into work on Tuesday (I was in Madison for work on Monday) the entire wall was surrounded in a wall of plastic. Then today there are these men walking around in full hazard suit gear and gas masks and everything. Remember - this is all taking place like 8 feet from my desk. I am wearing no gas mask... This seem a bit weird to anyone? If you were at work.. and you saw guys in these suits and masks walking around.. but you were just sitting there working, would you think anything? I mean, we are breathing the same air - yet these guys think the air is so bad they have to wear all this gear.

I've been signed up with Netflix for just over a year now and have seen 83 movies during that time from them. I still go to the theaters to see the good movies that come out. Some I've seen in theaters this year are Star Wars EpIII, Batman Returns, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Wedding Crashers...

But after seeing 83 movies from Netflix over the year, I've started to run out of ideas on ones to see... Got any ideas? I'd be open to some good movie suggestions.

I was up til 12:15am last night watching the greatest tennis player ever win one of the best matches ever to advance to the semi-finals of the US Open.

Andre Agassi won in 5 sets over James Blake (up and coming US tennis star). It was an amazing match and the 35 yr old Andre pulled it out. After he dropped the first 2 sets... I thought he was done. After he was down a break in the 3rd set... I thought he was done. Even after he came back and won the 3rd and 4th set, he got down a break in the 5th set. I thought he was done... When James Blake was serving for the match in the 5th set up 5-4... I thought he was done. Even after he came all the way back and forced a tie breaker in the 5th set, he got down 3-0 in the tiebreaker... I thought he was done.

But the Greatest Tennis Player to ever live, Andre Agassi, stepped up and roared back to win! He was the oldest player since 1991 to make a US Open quarter final, he is now the 5th oldest person ever to make a US Open semi final.

Computer Lifeguard?

Check this out... Over in Britain some of the pools have this new Computer Lifeguard system. It has cameras that watch underwater and alert the lifeguard when someone is drowning. Click on the link to the story... at the top of the story they have a link so you can watch the actual computer system camera recognizing the kid drowning.. and alerting the lifeguard the dives in to save the girl.

Says it costs 65,000 pounds to install. Not sure what the heck that translates in to dollars.. but sounds like a lot. If I wasn't so lazy, I'd do a Google search to figure it out.

So this afternoon I meet my 2 brothers down at the city softball diamonds. They wanted to take a little hitting practice since our Fall Softball League is starting up on Tuesday. Neither of them have played at all this year yet... so they wanted to get a few swings in.

1st I pitched to Brad. Pretty non-eventful.
2nd I pitched to Brian. Duche drilled me in the fucking shin with a line drive. Within about 15 seconds it looked like someone stuck a racket ball under my skin. I took a few pics when I got home.. kinda hard to see it that well.. but you get the idea.

So now I'm sitting here, watching my brother Brian's boy Diddy host the VMA's.
