Superman Returns

For those of you that don't know, they are making a new round of Superman movies. The first one is called Superman Returns - its slated to open June 30th 2006. They have already started filming... and who is the new Superman you may ask? Well he just so happens to be from Norwalk Iowa. Brandon Routh grew up in Norwalk and went to the University of Iowa. Here is a pic of Brandon in the new Superman costume. Other castings you might be interested in are Kate Bosworth as Lois Lane, Kevin Spacey as Lex Luthor, and they are even going to use old footage of Marlon Brando as Jor-El (Superman's father). From what I've read these new movies are going to pick up where the original Superman 2 left off... and just act like Superman III & IV were never made - since they pretty much sucked. Hopefully these new Supermans rule as much as the new Batman movie did. Superman The Movie is one of my all time favorite movies... and I am eagerly awaiting the return of Superman.
