Computer Lifeguard?
Check this out... Over in Britain some of the pools have this new Computer Lifeguard system. It has cameras that watch underwater and alert the lifeguard when someone is drowning. Click on the link to the story... at the top of the story they have a link so you can watch the actual computer system camera recognizing the kid drowning.. and alerting the lifeguard the dives in to save the girl. Says it costs 65,000 pounds to install. Not sure what the heck that translates in to dollars.. but sounds like a lot. If I wasn't so lazy, I'd do a Google search to figure it out. Britain, The Times Online, Saved by a computer lifeguard OK.... I just did the conversion.. it would be $116,246 US Dollars. |

Ha... That's a good idea there Wounds. .. but I wouldn't want to interfere with your work wife trying to give ya the reach around.
Come on, People. Let's go back to Natural Selection... If you can't keep your head above the water or you're too stupid to stay in the shallow end if you can't swim, that's your problem.
Sorry...it's early in the morning, I didn't mean to lash out...
What the Brits really need is an automatic teeth brushing system..
:-)
What happens when a kid pees in the water? I envision a siren and some computer voice telling everyone to get out of the pool so they can decontaminate.....
Dorf--that was a funny comment!
